PT Electronic City Indonesia Tbk. (“Electronic City”) is one of the pioneers of modern electronics retailing in Indonesia. Established since 2001 and opened a standalone store which was also the Company’s flagship store in Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD). Electronic City expanded its store network outside the Greater Jakarta area by opening its first store in Denpasar in 2004 and in Sumatera located in Medan in 2007.

Electronic City was officially listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange on July 3, 2013 (IDX: ECII). Electronic City issued 333.333.000 shares or equal to 25% of the issued and fully paid share after the public offering at an offering price of Rp 4,050 per share.

As of September 2018, Electronic City has rolled out a total of 53 store spread across several big cities in Indonesia from Java, Bali, Sumatera, Kalimantan to Sulawesi. Electronic City offers the comprehensive products in four major categories: Audio-Video, home appliances, mobile devices and gadgets, IT equipment and office supplies. In carrying out its operations Electronic City is supported by 11 distribution warehouses located in Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Tangerang, Solo, Medan, Denpasar, Pontianak, Balikpapan and Kendari.

Electronic City implemented a dual branding strategy through two store concepts consisting Electronic City Store (EC Store) and Electronic City Outlet (EC Outlet) as a marketing methods to target different consumer segments. Electronic City also lunched an e-commerce platform through its official website with a view to strengthen The Company’s image and attract customers who prefer to buy products online.


Electronic City Stores (EC Stores) – Store display and product presentation are in blue shade concept. Primary target of EC Stores are upper-middle class customers. EC Stores typically range between 600 to 2,500 sqm. As of June 2014, Electronic City operates 45 EC Stores located in strategic location in shopping malls, shophouses and standalone stores. The total gross selling area of 45 EC Stores is 55,925 sqm.




Electronic City Outlet (EC Outlet) – Store display and and product presentation are in red shade concept. Primary target of EC Outlet are entry level and middle class customers. EC Outlet typically range between 350 to 700 sqm. As of June 2014, Electronic City operates 16 EC Outlet located in strategic location in shopping malls and shophouses. Total gross selling area of 18 EC Outlet is 8,083 sqm.

In 2012, Electronic City launched an e-commerce platform through its official website. The main objective of the e-commerce is to strengthen our brand image and to capture consumers who prefer to buy product online. The product selection for our product online is focused on fast moving items like gadgets such as mobile phones and cameras, which can be easily shipped. The prices of online products are equivalent to our in-store prices and both credit cards or debit cards are accepted as forms of payment.
